At MaybeArt we love & celebrate all forms of art. Music is a craft we’re very passionate about so we’ve created artwork where we embody music visually.
Pink & Architecture is a concept designed to reflect the dialogue of Tyler the Creator’s grammy award winning Igor; an album we’re huge fans of where Tyler talks about love, obsession, heartbreak & discovers the power of moving on.
In this segment, we’ve dissected the album & generated fun cosmic/80s arcade art collages which express the themes of the music - we felt that this art style compliments the synth-driven sound of the album. That synth element also prompted us to draw some inspiration from Stranger Things. We’ll be explaining as we go along to take you along this journey with us!
The collages embody the music, feelings & messages in the form of visual art.

A song about a lover he mistreats but needs. He blames himself for the destruction of their relationship. He compares their love to an earthquake as it flusters his world.
A song about his mental state & his intense emotions about romance. He feels this “master/puppet” dynamic; he’s not in control. He feels lost about romance The use of different textures in this collage heightens the displacement Tyler feels in this song.
A song about the depth of feeling unrequited love. He is in a doomed relationship, “running out of time to make you love me”, he’s starting to accept he deserves better but can’t change how he feels. He shares how his lover is wearing a mask & lying about who he truly is. Heavy synth sound. In this collage we ensured Tyler's face was a bit blurry, to represent his self-destruction
